Jail Tutoring

BoulderReads! is pleased to be able to provide tutors for inmates at the Boulder County Jail. Our tutors work with inmates (male and female) who need help with their literacy skills, as well as inmates who need extra support in the GED classes. Tutoring generally takes place on weekdays from 8:30 to 10: 30 a.m., 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. or on selected evenings. Tutors may choose the shift(s) that work for them. Often, inmates find this to be one of the most positive educational experiences of their lives, as well as awakening their appreciation for the impact of volunteering.
